Extras is only as second rate as the maintainers (community) makes it.
Well put. And unfortunately extras buildsys depends on the deps in Core
to be consistent, so many days we were unable to build recently after
the relative chaos of the gcc-4.1 change. Hopefully things will begin
to settle down now.
