And yet another report. Near-total failure :-( startx doesn't work, I hit https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5068
I've CC'd myself on that one to keep an eye on it.
gdm starts up nicely (-nolisten tcp is a workaround for the bug), but logins don't work, "gdm-binary[3141]: Couldn't authenticate user" in the logs. Some pam-stack complaints too. Haven't had the timen to fully debug that, maybe tomorrow...
Hmm, that could be due to recent pam changes. gdm might need to update it's pam config files. I think xdm needs to have them updated too.
startx -- -nolisten tcp gets things up and running, fortunately.
Cool.
And some XKB errors after X is up.
What are the errors?
Otherwise it's happy! For such a major change, not bad at all! :D
Good to hear! With any major change like this, I usually get fairly paranoid as the "goes into rawhide" date approaches, as there are always a million possible problems that can occur, and it's hard to predict all of the possiblities. We've hit some issues already, but so far things seem to be going remarkably smooth, which surprises me. I'm biting my nails wondering "when is the big surprise coming?". ;o) -- fedora-devel-list mailing list fedora-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-devel-list
