This was probably since I redid my xorg.conf, and it had us instead of fi keyboard mapping afterwards. system-config-keyboard, select fi, and everything was happy again. So, only https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5068 left as a real bug, everything else was just package upgrade hiccups. And since all bugs have been filed, I can just happily go to sleep.
