Any particular reason why the shared libs are not executable?
They ought to be. Missing 'x' permissions has caused issues before.

$ rpmls mupdf-libs-1.26.0~dev\^309.gfa7687f1c-1.el9.x86_64.rpm
lrwxrwxrwx  /usr/lib64/libmupdf.so.26
-rw-r--r--  /usr/lib64/libmupdf.so.26.0
drwxr-xr-x  /usr/share/licenses/mupdf-libs
-rw-r--r--  /usr/share/licenses/mupdf-libs/COPYING
