I don't know sham1, but I presume you have tried to contact via email and mastodon as found in the Fas page [1] and Github profile [2]? I remember that mastodon can be finicky with displaying federated content (if you are in a different server you do not see the same reply feed as the user), but I don't know if it extends to DMs as well.
Anyway, I wanted to primarily correct you on the CC address where you tried to use <user>@fedoraproject.org. Afaiu that is not/no longer a thing. Instead you should use <package>-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, e.g. in your case it is maildir-utils-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
