Another option is use driver modesetting (man
/usr/share/man/man4/modesetting.4.gz ) 

We already have a patch on xorg-x11-server package that defaults all
GeForce 8 and newer to modesetting drive [1], chatgpt says: "Yes,
modesetting for the GK107 GPU (NVIDIA Kepler, 10de:0fc1) is possible"
