To clarify: - I am a downstream co-maintainer of the OpenDMARC package for Fedora, not an upstream developer of the project. - I fully agree that the lack of upstream activity is far from ideal. However, OpenDMARC remains a widely used package, and I believe it still provides value to Fedora users. - The purpose of the proposed change is to enhance downstream packaging. Regarding the concern about upstream activity: - I am not aware of any actively maintained forks of OpenDMARC, nor any distributions currently sourcing from such forks. Please, correct if I'm wrong so I can check status. - Unless something changes, my current plan (and I hope Kevin the other co-maintainer agrees) is to continue maintaining the package downstream, applying necessary patches to address issues as they arise.
