For what it is worth I was able to build it on Fedora 41:
```
Checking for unpackaged file(s): /usr/lib/rpm/check-files
Wrote: /home/jason/rpmbuild/SRPMS/thunderbird-128.4.2-1.fc41.src.rpm
Executing(rmbuild): /bin/sh -e /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.6Lpyox
+ umask 022
+ cd /home/jason/rpmbuild/BUILD/thunderbird-128.4.2-build
+ test -d /home/jason/rpmbuild/BUILD/thunderbird-128.4.2-build
+ /usr/bin/chmod -Rf a+rX,u+w,g-w,o-w
/home/jason/rpmbuild/BUILD/thunderbird-128.4.2-build
+ rm -rf /home/jason/rpmbuild/BUILD/thunderbird-128.4.2-build
+ RPM_EC=0
++ jobs -p
+ exit 0
...
```

Memory did seem very high during early stages of compile. It topped
out at a little over 90GB at some points
