It seems that the file
/usr/src/kernels/2.6.14-1.1639_FC5-i686/arch/i386/Makefile
is missing from kernel-devel in 1639
Not sure whether this is an accident or deliberate, but this file exists
in 1635 and 1632.

I'm seeing the same problem with i686 kernels, but was surprised to
find that building the NVIDIA module works fine with the x86_64 kernel.
