I'd be grateful if someone could please advise me what's changed in PAM
- - yum automatically updated it this morning and in the process broke
mod_pam_auth and php_auth:

Oct 27 05:52:37 Updated: pam.i386 0.77-66.2.13
Oct 27 05:52:37 Updated: pam-devel.i386 0.77-66.2.13

Previously both mod_pam_auth and php_auth worked fine with /etc/shadow
set to read by root only. In order to get them working again I've had
to change the shadow file's group to apache and give it read access.

Naturally, I don't feel very comfortable with this and am considering
changing back to the previous version of PAM.

Many thanks,

Ben
