Whereas this has worked with some older releases of Fedora, in F40 it is broken again here. Printer model is a Samsung ML-1640 USB, and when turning it on GNOME Shell displays notifications about configuring it automatically. However, printing doesn't work afterwards. It reports success, but doesn't print anything. Visiting the settings, I see it has chosen a ML-1650, a newer model, which I believe isn't compatible enough. Choosing ML-1610 would work. And typically I install the "splix" package and choose ML-1640 v2.0.0, which works fine as well. Some Fedora releases have installed that package by default. F40 doesn't. -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
