Hey folks. I happened to notice the other day that f41 branching is currently scheduled for 2024-08-06. This is the day before flock. https://fedorapeople.org/groups/schedule/f-41/f-41-key-tasks.html I don't think this is a good time. :) While Samyak (who will be doing most/all of the releng work for branching) is unfortunately not going to be able to attend flock, there are often issues or things that need adjustment from others, and I think it's pretty unreasonable to ask those people to do these things and also be present at flock. So, we could: 1. Do nothing, but branching may be in a weird state or messed up or people going to flock may not be able to give their talks or interact with others because they are fixing things. 2. Move the branching a week later: 2024-08-13 and just leave it at that. That would leave one less week to clean up branching stuff and get updates through before bodhi enablement. 3. Move the branching a week later: 2024-08-13 and move the entire rest of the schedule out a week. 4. Move the branching a week sooner: 2024-07-30 and leave everything the same after. This would mean less time for the mass rebuild fixes, less time for maintainers to land changes that they wanted to land before branching. I probibly like 3 the best myself, with 2 pretty close. I don't like 1 or 4 much at all. :) Thoughts? kevin
