Orphaning my last Google Cloud packages

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hey there,

I orphaned quite a few of Google's Python SDKs recently and I'm ready to orphan some of the last few Google-related packages:

golang-github-googlecloudplatform-guest-logging
google-compute-engine-guest-configs
google-disk-expand
google-guest-agent
google-osconfig-agent

The guest-configs package isn't too difficult, but the others are challenging due to additional dependencies showing up in the upstream code from time to time. Lots of these hinge on getting an update to the osconfig-agent, but that leads to a brand new version of arrow with another long line of dependencies. 🥵

My original goal with maintaining these was to build a great Google Cloud experience for Fedora inside the instance itself, but other priorities began to pile up and these upstreams make changes that are too rapid and vast for me to keep up with.

If you're interested in any of these, let me know! Otherwise I'll likely be orphaning them later this week. 👋
