Yes, I look at Arch Linux build. Setting the right path on cmake setting seems to address most of the issues like:

   -DMATERIALX_INSTALL_INCLUDE_PATH=%{_includedir} \
    -DMATERIALX_INSTALL_LIB_PATH=%{_libdir} \
    -DMATERIALX_INSTALL_STDLIB_PATH=%{_datadir}/%{name

 Now the path
for the workaround from Arch Linux parameters failed. Upstream code is indeed a mess. I will update the status.
