Am reviewing Qnearbyshare: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2241003 It uses a protocol similar to: https://github.com/grishka/NearDrop/blob/master/PROTOCOL.md For sending a file, a temporary server is initiated which is accessible on the local network. To receive files, the service temporarily scans for available servers on the local network and then allows exchange after entering a shared secret. Dbus and Avahi are used to provide local network services. Does such a service need a FESCO exception? https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Systemd/#activation_socket _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
