Yep, same thing seen here. I believe it has been mentioned on the beta-list (I brought this up, although not the out of frequency part but could be related), and might be due to kernel fb modules being loaded/unloaded, which Bill Nottingham says due to initscripts/whatever loading them and shouldn't. Maybe Bill or DaveJ will chime in about it.
