OK, I cobbled something together: https://github.com/rpm-software-management/rpm/pull/2573 It still waits for the new test suite back end to pass the testsuite but that shouldn't prevent anyone from already having a look. Does anyone have a suggestion for another way for checking for the existence of users groups and UIDs? While useradd and group add support the --root parameter things like id don't.
