How will this affect Qt-on-GNOME applications?
I remember there being problems in the past because gnome-shell /
mutter apparently did not support SSD.
Will windows still have decorations in all combinations of
Qt+X11/Wayland-on-GNOME+X11/Wayland?


Yes, I would like to ideally bring GNOME-like decorations that are currently provided by QGnomePlatform directly
to Qt upstream. In case I don't make it in time, we will most likely end up at least shipping that part of QGnomePlatform
that gives you exactly that.
