Hello,

I'm getting this warning

RPM build warnings:
     source_date_epoch_from_changelog set but %changelog is missing

But the %changelog is not missing...

Any ideas?

Could you please share the spec file?

I've seen this when the %changelog was considered "invalid" by RPM. That way, it is ignored. E.g. when it is not sorted by date or if the dates are bogus.
Sure... see the attachment... I don't see any bogus dates... but
maybe I'm just not seeing something... Thanks!

rpm will tell you:

======================================
RPM build warnings:
     source_date_epoch_from_changelog set but %changelog is missing

RPM build errors:
    bad date in %changelog: Tue Fed 28 2023 Steve Dickson <steved@xxxxxxxxxx> 1.2.6-4.rc2
======================================

It should be Feb, not Fed.
Sometimes you just need a second pair of eyes! :-)
A strange way to say there is an invalid date...
But thank you... very much!!!

Tip: Always use rpmdev-bumpspec (or %autochangelog); never write the changelog %entry manually.
I will definitely look into this...

Thanks again!

steved.
