Heads-up: Side-tag rebuild due to minizip-ng soname bump

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

Minizip-ng has changed its soname name from "libminizip.so.3.0" to "libminizip.so.3" thus we need to rebuild all the packages that are requiring this soname.

I've listed them with the following command: dnf repoquery --whatrequires 'libminizip.so.3*' --qf '%{sourcerpm}\t%{name}' | sed -e 's/-[^-]*-[^-]*rpm//' | sort -u | awk '{ print $1 }' | uniq
And these are the results:
collada-dom
dolphin-emu
libnuml
librasterlite2
libsbml
libspatialite
libxlsxwriter
minizip-ng
sigil
vxl
xiphos
zfstream

I'll create the PR for each package for the rebuild and then I'll ask a proven packager to merge them and build them in the side-tag for me, so the maintainers of the packages are not burdened by this.

I won't be reachable this week, so I'll postpone this side-tag to next week, but I wanted to give you a heads-up on this change.

If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to let me know.

PS: If you have some nicer way to list the packages, I'm more than welcome for the scripts :D

Thank you,
Lukas
