Ext-3 Commit I/O Error in 1398

Hey:

Just got a commit i/o error for ext-3 in kernel-2.6.12-1.1398_FC4.
Bunch of my files went wack-o and directory inodes became symlinks
to ??. Couldn't shutdown. Init said I/O error.

Reverted back to 1390, recovery worked and files/dirs back to normal. I
couldn't find any detailed logs and the kernel didn't panic. So, it
maybe a badblock on my HDD that it hit or something's screwed in the
ext3 driver in 1398.

I'm not a kernel expert, but will be willing to run any diags on it to
see if it happens again. I've noticed that CONFIG_JBD_DEBUG is not
set, so, i guess i'd have to recompile...

Anyway, has anyone else run into problems?

thx,
