I was hoping invoke would be fixed in time, but it wasn't so I disabled
the tests and built it for F37+.

No movement on upstream bug, so I went ahead and implemented your
suggestion. Hopefully matrix-synapse+cache_memory which is the only
runtime consumer still works.
