I just wanted to note, since I haven't noticed it elsewhere in this thread, that "deprecation" for a Fedora package has a specific meaning as described in https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/deprecating-packages/ When a package is deprecated, the intent is that no new dependencies on any deprecated package would appear in the distribution, either by new packages or from existing packages adding dependencies. Of course, I don't know what actually checks this; it's not particularly common to deprecate packages. - J< _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
