eclipse-pydev and bundled pylint

Does eclipse-pydev still come with bundled pylint in devel? Is that
really a good idea?

I have packaged pylint in Extras, so maybe it makes more sense to
incorporate it into the core, or not bundle pylint with pydev in the
first place and just let the users install pylint on their own?
