Is there any particular reason why the packages BuildRequiring and Requiring
python-redis need to be rebuilt? Is there some kind of ABI that is determine
din the packages at build time? This is not very common for Python packages.
A targeted rebuild of dependent packages is needed when e.g. C library changes
its soname version or when packages require e.g. perl = <the perl version this
was built with>, but are extremely unlikely to be needed for a Python package
update.
This yields nothing that looks like it could possibly need a rebuild:
$ repoquery -q --repo=rawhide{,-source} --requires -a | grep -iE 'python.+redis'
...
python3-redis
python3-redis >= 2.10.0
python3.10dist(redis)
python3.10dist(redis) >= 2.10
python3.10dist(redis) >= 2.10.5
python3.10dist(redis) >= 3
python3.10dist(redis) >= 3.5
...
python3dist(redis)
python3dist(redis) >= 2.10.5
python3dist(redis) >= 3
python3dist(redis) >= 3.5
(Manually removed false matches, was to lazy to write a proper regex.)
If the only reason is to verify the packages actually still build, you appear
to have already done that.
