It's important to note here that "works fine" isn't the same as "is
supported".

My reading of that document is that if one goes below what's laid out in
"Minimum System Configuration", here be dragons, trouble may happen, and
to varying degrees, one is on their own.  And that those dangers are why
there's a "Recommended System Configuration" in the next section.
