undefined symbol `__libc_stack_end' in F36/Rawhide

Hey all-

Building swiftlang on F36/Rawhide results in a a failure that, boiled down to its essence, appears to be:

/usr/bin/ld: /tmp/lto-llvm-4fd0b1.o: relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against undefined symbol `__libc_stack_end' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC

It compiles fine on 35 so I’m guessing glibc has been updated; a bunch of web searching hasn’t come up with any useful suggestions, the one ancient Bugzilla ticket I found was not resolved.

Any suggestions on what to do about this?

Thanks!

Ron
