Well, I'm not exactly sure. For python-boto3 I plan on shipping exactly the same code as RHEL 7.

python-augeas might be a bit different as RHEL ships 0.5 but I'd like to use 1.1 as that version fixed many bugs.

I guess the exemption only applies when using the same source code as present in RHEL, right?

I don't think this rule applies to python3-josepy, as python-josepy exists in
EPEL7, not RHEL7.

I was thinking about this exemption:

We need a newer version of josepy which only supports Python 3. Given the age/maturity of RHEL 7 I don't want to remove python2-josepy from EPEL 7 and introduce a newer python3-josepy.
