COPR (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/sysadmin_guide/copr/) exists, in part, to scratch that specific itch.

Moving eventually to official builds once a COPR build is humming along is fairly straightforward process, although it comes of course with the addition of specific 'official' Fedora et al packaging guidelines.
