I think the proposed name is OK. "ld.so" is a well-known name and
immediately "rings a bell" for people who deal with libraries and
such. Making use of this preexisting knowledge seems to me more important
than some possible confusion about this being a library. It won't have
the "lib" prefix, and it'll be in /usr/bin/, so I think chances of
confusion will no be too large.
