Did you see the part where we are using those packages for multilib?
This would immediately kill Wine, Steam, and 32-bit development
on Fedora.

The fact that we're discussing a complicated way is because the complicated
way is needed to avoid breaking use cases that we care about, not because
we like complexity for complexity's sake.
