I am for this change. Fedora should use the latest OpenJDK by default.
Required tooling changes (javapackages-tools etc.) that are needed to
build packages with OpenJDK 17 are ready to be pushed once the change
is accepted.
All my packages (Maven, Ant and their dependencies) were already
ported to Java 17, more info on java-devel list.
