As someone who endorsed this suggestion before, I should probably make sure this contrary view is seen: https://stackoverflow.com/a/56220630/479426 In short, in the 20 years since the fork, ImageMagick has grown a lot of fancy new features, and may in fact be better behaved in some security-related cases. However, I am still in favor of replacing ImageMagick with GraphicsMagick, because: 1. If your use case is advanced image processing for, for example, computer vision, there are _so many other better library-based approaches_, and 2. If security is your concern, _oh god please don't do that it's too late already_. -- Matthew Miller <mattdm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Fedora Project Leader _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
