Welcome! Ankur said pretty much the same things I was going to say.
Let me add that you will have to sign the Fedora Project Contributor
Agreement (FPCA), which I think takes care of fedora-contributor.
I second the suggestion to look at the co-maintainer route, especially
since it looks like you are the current upstream maintainer for
inotify-tools.
Also, note that you do *not* need to be sponsored to get started.
Sending a PR to update inotify-tools would be a great first step. You
can also add inotify-tools to anitya (https://release-monitoring.org/)
so that a bug is automatically filed whenever there is a new upstream
release.
Please let me know if I can provide any help or advice. I’ve been an
inotify-tools user for many years, and I appreciate your contributions.

Hi Guys,
Hello,
Welcome to Fedora!
When I write to IRC I get:
"Cannot send to nick/channel"
How can I solve this?
I think all Fedora channels require you to be registered with Libera (to
prevent spam). You can register here:
https://libera.chat/guides/registration
I would like to get added to the following groups, if possible:
cla_redhat [OBSOLETE] Red Hat Employees CLA Group member
^
Not a clue :)
fedora-contributor Fedora contributors member
^
Didn't know (or had forgotten) about this one too. There are no sponsors
so perhaps you automatically get added to this.
fedorabugs Group for granting Bugzilla editing privileges member
^
I think all package maintainers, and all folks from the QA team get
added here (at least). So for QA:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Join
packager Fedora Packager GIT Commit Group member
To get sponsored to the package maintainers group, please see:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/How_to_Get_Sponsored_into_the_Packager_Group/
It'll probably be easiest to request the current inotify-tools
maintainers to help you get sponsored as a co-maintainer:

(PS: removed all the lists apart from -devel from the reply list.)
