I kicked this off again to see if the ARM builder kernel changes help. I'm waiting on VTK to complete to do a rebuild of PCL.

Well, that build unfortunately failed due to gcc getting killed (the usual arm OOM symptom).  Looks like another try has been started.  If that fails I think I'll need to bump down ncpus yet more (already dropped from 5 to 3).


There are other things you can look in to to try to reduce gcc memory usage. For instance, PCL modifies the %optflags[1] to reduce the debuginfo level and turn off -pipe.
