Hi folks,
I see some reports in FZUG community that this commit [1], supposed to
update golang to 1.16.2 in its changelog, didn't change its tarball or
n-v-r to new version. And actually builds to 1.16-2.
Is it intended to fo the upgrade or the commit is just a normal rebuild
with wrong changelog?
Looks like it's still version 1.16 to me:
$ /usr/bin/go version
go version go1.16 linux/amd64
$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/go
golang-bin-1.16-2.fc35.x86_64
BTW this version (>= 1.16) breaks GOPATH and defaults to modules,
which broke all our existing code.
Rich.
Thanks both for bringing this up. I'm going to check it right now.
