Hi,

Following the yanking due to an unannounced SONAME bump by my
comaintainer, I intend to bump libavif soname next week to 10.

The affected packages are the following:

PACKAGE                                DEPENDENT                              DEPENDENCIES
libavif-0.8.4-5.fc35.x86_64            darktable-3.4.1-1.fc35.x86_64          libavif.so.9()(64bit)
                                        gd-2.3.2-3.fc35.x86_64                 libavif.so.9()(64bit)
                                        kf5-kimageformats-5.80.0-1.fc35.x86_64 libavif.so.9()(64bit)

I intend to bump them myself next week using my PP privileges.

Can you do it now instead of waiting until next week? Next week starts the F34 Final Freeze which means the soname bump is going to linger in updates-testing for weeks until the freeze is lifted and likely to cause confusion if any of the dependent packages gets rebuilt (possibly against the older soname) during that time.

Or alternatively, wait until the freeze is over (although my suggestion would be to do it now).
