XMPP is alive. I maintain 2 XMPP clients in Fedora.


I just tried Jitsi latest Build 5633 on Fedora 32 and it started and run ... for approximatly 10 seconds before it crashed :)

It still relies on Java 1.8 where Java 15 is the current release. Even with Java 11 it did not even compile in 1.8 mode. it will be a lot of work to get all the old constructions out of the code before we can even think to run it with Java 11+.

If i get it to work proper with the help of the devs, I hope to get it back into Fedora Copr or stable.
