It doesn't render text using default fonts (i.e. 'serif' or 'sans-serif' css styles), but it does render text using custom css fonts. In fact, it renders most of qt.io homepage (using 'Titillium Web' custom css font) and also some text on Bodhi homepage (using 'Open Sans' custom css font). However, opening, for example, Falkon settings, I can get the fonts under the Character settings and the preview works.
