If the library is in RHEL, file a bug asking for it to be updated,
mark the library as bundled with a comment about why with a link to
the BZ. If the library is in EPEL, talk to the maintainer about
updating it. If it's not feasible, then do the same as you would for
RHEL stuff.

That's the way I've handled it so far.
