That was also my thought. I was just curious if this was considered,
because both approaches have some pros/cons. But I don't think I have
preference.

Yep, I reckon calling the standalone package "xorg-x11-server-Xwayland" would be actually easier (for users as well), so I would be fine with such a decision.
