Thank you for the response, John.

Does it mean that I should proceed with the non-responsive process right
away so that FESCO would be able to switch the maintainership to me?

Hi,

I am trying to initiate a non-responsive maintainer process for johnp for
package python-ldap.

Following the process defined at[1], I filed the following bugzilla:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1890982

Prior to that, I tried to communicate with maintainers of python-ldap
package (there are 9 of them) with no response to my request sent to the
package maintainers alias at fedoraproject.org (reproduced below as it
explains my request). Prior to that, I opened a pull request[2]. As can
be seen in Koji[3], none of the current package maintainers worked on
python-ldap package since 2016 when Petr Spacek was a member of my team
at Red Hat. While Petr is still marked as a maintainer of the
python-ldap package, he is not working on it or any other Fedora
packages for quite some time. He also has no rights to give
maintainership to the package to us.

Subject: Please give abbra and cheimes rights to python-ldap

Hi,

I am a maintainer of FreeIPA -- upstream, in Fedora, and in RHEL.

FreeIPA depends on python-ldap package heavily and we would like to take
over its maintainership in Fedora. My colleague Christian Heimes is
already maintaining it in RHEL 8 and also is one of python-ldap upstream
developers.

It looks like the current set of maintainers of Fedora python-ldap
package are not active -- all the commits in past two years were either
mass rebuild ones or fixing build requires/mass changes to the spec
files.

We would like to acquire maintenance of python-ldap package in Fedora
(and EPEL, if required), to allow us to make sure it is in functioning
state in those distributions.

Thank you in advance.

For the procedure of giving rights of the package please see here:
