Actually I take that back, this really is a LTO/gcc bug. They compile everything that the compiler supports and at runtime detect what is available and run the appropriate best function ('best' being decided uppon the order of an enum, so YMMV, but at least it won't try to run the neon function on a board that doesn't have neon even if the binary enables it). So I'd really need a way to have only that file compiled with the optimisations, and other files without it -- Jeff or someone else, could you please advise?
