Yes, of course, but it will cost me time to find out where to revert
the change (the right way).

I just wanted to point out how absurd the arguments in the proposal
are. Somebody using the complex git CLI (which was never meant to be to
highlevel CLI) is usually skilled enough not to be stopped by the
different default editor (especially if the editor gives hints on
wrong usage). Unskilled people will usually use GUI so they do not care
