Yes.  I haven't replied to that part of the thread yet.  But yes, libc++ is out
of scope.  It'd be a compatibility nightmare.

I consider those out of scope as well :-)   I think there's some desire to add
lld into the alternatives mechanism (along side ld.bfd and ld.gold).  But that's
about it to the best of my knowledge.
