Extras buys more than space. It buys time as well. By eliminating the
maintenance of cruft fedora core developers are able to spend more of
their time actually improving core applications and as a result increase
the rate of innovation in these areas. Less maintenance work and a
cleaner picture of the horizon means more work *can" be done towards a
clearer vision. Time *and* space... now thats a bargain. ;)
