(I'm only half joking here, I think.  There are some common shared
components I think - the suckless stuff, for instance - but also there
should be a limit to how big a tent you want to have here.)

I still use too many X apps, Wayland still doesn't cover a lot of stuff.

Thinking it more deeply, we can produce a lot of stuff and if Sway is so compatible with i3 as is stated, they should take benefit when all X-needs are covered and make the jump smoothly.
