Orphaned three Java packages

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

We have just orphaned three packages since they are no longer required
any other package that's maintained by the Stewardship SIG:

- guava20
- jetty-parent
- plexus-bsh-factory

guava20 is a compat package that should no longer be needed, since the
whole machinery that's used for building Java RPM packages has
transitioned over to use the non-compat guava (including maven and
xmvn).

plexus-bsh-factory is dead upstream and sources can no longer even be
downloaded for it, as far as I can tell. We are able to drop it by
disabling beanshell support in maven-plugin-tools, which is unused in
fedora. No package depends on plexus-bsh-factory in rawhide now, so it
should be safe to let it get garbage collected in 6 weeks.
