EPEL8 - unable to build package due to non-responsive maintainer of dependencies

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I am maintainer of TurboGears packages in Fedora. After release of RHEL8, I am trying to build it for EPEL. But there are some dependencies, which are not satisfied yet. What complicates my work is, that the unresponsible maintainer is a SIG, currently infra-sig. I have filled some bugs, which packages needs to be rebuild, also offered by help, but still no response.

First, I would ask, if someone can contact infra-sig (not sure, who it is) and ask him to add some info in bugzilla, if they are planning to maintain these packages or leave them to me.

I think, it's not a good idea to start an unresponsible maintainer procedure against a SIG.

Here is an short list of reported bugs:

python-repoze-what https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1440522
python-transaction https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1742967
python-backlash https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1742971
python-formencode https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1742972
python-kajiki https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1742975
python-crank https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1742981

Thanks for help.
                                                                             Jan ONDREJ (SAL)
