Hi, My name is Aaron (golanv(fas)). I've been administering Linux servers for around 15 years. Mostly, I've used RHEL clones and occasionally Gentoo in production, but for the past few years, I have found Fedora to suit my needs more and more. I started using Fedora 28 for user workstations in my organization, and then gradually started replacing a number of servers with Fedora as well, as I've just been impressed with the stability and easy integration into the environment where I work. I'm currently interested in maintaining or co-maintaining a recently orphaned package, pgbouncer. I have begun using this package in production, so I have interest in seeing it well work well in Fedora. Shortly before it was orphaned, I submitted a pull request to fix a bug I filed, and later submitted an additional bug for the EPEL package: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/pgbouncer/pull-request/2 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1801301 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1810267 I've attempted to contact the previous maintainer asking to help out with this package, but have not received a response and the current/future status of the package ownership seems unclear to me. So, to get my feet wet, I just wanted to offer to help with this package as maintainer, since it's still orphaned, or co-maintainer should it be claimed by someone else, and to request a sponsor if anyone would be willing to help me with this.
